The Foundation The homesite is prepared with a recessed 6-inch concrete slab, upon which a continuous 6-inch reinforced perimeter foundation wall is poured. A pressure-treated 2x6 sill plate is then secured to the top of the foundation wall, providing a solid anchoring point for the home. Concrete support blocks are placed beneath the home, with spans not exceeding 5 feet, to ensure proper structural support as engineered by the factory. The area beneath the home serves as a crawl space for utility access. Once the foundation is complete, the home is delivered in two sections and carefully lifted into place by crane. The sections are securely joined and fastened to the foundation, creating a weather-tight structure by the end of the installation day.
